Welcome to the Barrydale Karoo Lodge! We invite you to come and enjoy a genuine Karoo experience at our destination stop over on the famous Route 62! Situated in Barrydale, our lodge is the perfect place for weary travellers to take a break and be spoiled by some Karoo hospitality and good food!
Barrydale Karoo Lodge Accommodation
Choose from eight individually decorated rooms each equipped with free Wi-Fi, a fan and tea / coffee making facilities.
Two of the rooms are equipped for the physically challenged. This includes ramp access to the building, a room door wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair, enough space around furniture, facilities in arm’s reach (blind cords, light switch, coffee station), a bathroom equipped with appropriate handles and bars and a wall mounted shower seat.
Our rooms are furnished with king-size or single beds, while the bathrooms have either showers or a bath with a shower overhead.
We also have free Wi-Fi in communal areas and breakfast is served at our on-site restaurant, Die Windpomp.
Guests can relax in the communal guest lounge which is equipped with a large fireplace. The lounge has a view of the courtyard below where a splash pool is available for guests.
Currently, street parking is offered as well as parking behind the lodge.

The lodge offers an on-site restaurant, where breakfast and light meals can be enjoyed. Our menu has something for everyone.
Barrydale offers a variety of attractions such as the Magpie Art Collective, Barrydale Heritage Garden, the Sanbona Wildlife reserve, various restaurants, shops and as well as wine cellars.
